July 2010 - Letter from the CEO
School’s out, the graduation flurry has passed, and the long July 4th weekend is behind us. Now we settle into the “lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer” - or at least that’s what we were led to believe in Nat King Coles 1956 pop hit song and TV show (do some of you out there remember this?). In 2010, it’s sometimes difficult to believe that these times ever existed. As all of you are well aware, Sand Hill’s job is to constantly monitor the markets, stay educated and current on all the factors that influence its movement, and anticipate and react appropriately in the best interests of our clients. We never really take a vacation from this effort, or we would be neglecting our fiduciary responsibilities. So while our team members are encouraged to take time off to renew and reinvigorate (particularly important in our demanding environment), we want to assure you that our attention to your best interests is never on holiday.
Have a truly wonderful summer—we look forward to being back in touch to see what the next quarter brings.
