Though Sand Hill Global Advisors seeks investment opportunities worldwide, we operate from a single office in Palo Alto, California. We believe physical proximity, and the fact that many of our professionals have worked together for a long time, facilitate effective communication and decision-making.

Jeffrey Abadie, CFP®
Senior Wealth Advisor
As a Senior Wealth Advisor, Jeffrey manages the relationships of high net worth clients by providing portfolio management and financial planning services. Included in the ongoing relationship management is cash flow analysis for retirement needs, charitable giving and planning for education funding. Jeffrey also provides risk assessment and global planning around concentrated stock holdings and 10b5-1 plans.
Jeffrey works with clients and attorneys drafting prenuptial agreements and marriage settlement agreements to provide financial analysis and planning. He works closely with clients and attorneys to provide spousal support analysis and community property division planning.
Before joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Jeffrey was a project manager of First Allied Securities Inc., a broker dealer in San Diego, CA. In that capacity, he was responsible for technical, operational and trading support for the asset management department.
Jeffrey serves on the Board of Directors for Kids´ Turn, a San Francisco based non-profit organization providing counseling to children and parents experiencing family separation. After serving in the US Navy from 1992 to 1996, Jeffrey earned a BS in Financial Services from San Diego State University. Jeffrey is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). -
Jay Amini
Controller
As Controller, Jay is responsible for executing all of the firm's internal and external reporting as well as ensuring that these documents comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Additionally, he is responsible for maximizing the return on Sand Hill Global Advisor's financial assets and for establishing financial policies, procedures and reporting systems.
Prior to joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Jay was a Controller with Amcon Sunrooms, Inc. He held a similar role with Hattons, Inc., serving as Senior Accounting Manager. Jay has a solid track record in finance and organizational leadership with expertise in accounting and financial analysis.
Jay graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cal State East Bay and is attending the University of Phoenix for his MBA. -
Cheryl Broock
Operations Associate
As an Operations Associate, Cheryl works across multiple departments, including Compliance, Client Service, and Investment Management. Her responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining the contract and Investment Policy Statement process; and setting-up and maintaining client accounts on the firm’s portfolio reporting and trading systems. Additionally, she works in conjunction with the firm’s custodians and prime brokers on trade settlements and reconciliation.
Cheryl has an AA in Liberal Studies and is currently working towards completing her BA in Communications. -
Ivan Chan
Trader
As the Portfolio Trader at Sand Hill Global Advisors, Ivan manages Sand Hill’s equity and fixed income trading platforms. In this capacity, he oversees the execution of all trades, and works in conjunction with the firm’s custodians and prime brokers on trade settlements and reconciliation. Additionally, Ivan is responsible for research and analytics in the fixed income space.
Ivan brings over 6 years of wealth management experience working with high net worth individuals, C-Level executives, entrepreneurs and general partners of venture firms. Prior to joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Ivan was the Director of Client Services at Three Bridge Wealth Advisors. He spent the first three years of his career as a Registered Client Service Associate with the Venture Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Ivan’s experience includes managing in-kind stock distributions, clearing restricted stock for venture limited partners and general partners, and implementing 10B5-1 trading plans.
Ivan graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in Industrial Engineering Operations Research. -
Michelle Cisneros
Administrative Assistant
As Sand Hill’s Administrative Assistant, Michelle provides support to the firm’s Client Service, Operations, and Marketing departments through the preparation of client presentations, records maintenance, and special event coordination.
Prior to joining Sand Hill, Michelle served in an administrative role in support of the Vice Chairmen at Jefferies investment bank in Boston.
Michelle earned her BS in Business Management from American Intercontinental University and has six years of administrative experience. -
Anthony Craun
Director of Client Service
As the Director of Client Service at Sand Hill Global Advisors, Anthony oversees the daily activities of the client service and operations team, manages the firm´s custodian relationships, and is responsible for the firm’s technology. Anthony also works in tandem with the Wealth Advisory and Investment Managements teams on complex client situations such as divorce, restricted stock and options, the execution of 10b5-1 plans and outside investments in hedge funds, venture capital and private equity. He has over nine years experience in working with high net worth individuals, their families, and institutions.
Before joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Anthony was an Associate with Fisher Investments.
Anthony received his BA in Economics from Wake Forest University and is currently a CFA Level III candidate. -
Jane Creighton
Managing Director & Senior Wealth Advisor
As Managing Director and Senior Wealth Advisor at Sand Hill Global Advisors, Jane provides leadership and dedication to the professional advisor team. She has been instrumental in the development and growth of the firm and serves as a member of the Executive Committee. She continues to work directly with Sand Hill´s clients, providing them with wealth management advice and investment guidance.
Prior to joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Jane worked for 10 years in banking, first with Wells Fargo Bank and then as Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer with The Bank of California in San Francisco.
Jane has served on the Planned Giving Council of the Lucille Packard Children´s Hospital at Stanford, on the Advisory Board of the Peninsula Chapter of the Financial Women´s Association, on the Professional Advisory Council of the Peninsula Community Foundation, and as a volunteer in the Menlo Park School District. She served for six years on the Board of Directors of Adolescent Counseling Services and now serves on its Board of Advisors. Jane is also an active supporter of Women´s Initiative for Self-Employment, a non-profit organization that provides training and micro-loans to low-income and minority women in the Bay Area. In 2009, she was honored by Women´s Initiative for her mentoring efforts at the Women of Action 2009 Celebration.
Jane has a BA degree in Business from John F. Kennedy University. She holds a Series 65 License. -
Sara Craven
Senior Portfolio Manager
As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Sara contributes to the design and implementation of asset allocation strategies. Her specific area of focus and research within the financial markets is fixed income. She works closely with the Wealth Management group to manage client relationships and portfolios and offer additional depth of resources to each client relationship.
Prior to joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Sara was a Portfolio Manager and Head Trader at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust and an international bond associate for T. Rowe Price & Co. in Baltimore, Maryland.
Sara has been an active board member for the Northern Nevada/Northern California Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research.
Sara earned her BA in Economics from the University of Delaware and her MA in Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco. Sara is a Series 65 License holder. -
Brian Dombkowski, CFA
President & Chief Investment Officer
As the President and Chief Investment Officer of the firm, Brian provides overall strategic direction and leadership to the investment management, client services, finance and operations groups for Sand Hill Global Advisors. He serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee and is responsible for setting the investment process and practices of the firm. Additionally, he is a member of the Executive Committee, which is charged with the day-to-day management of the firm and with setting Sand Hill´s long-term strategic course.
Before joining the firm, Brian served as the Co-Chief Investment Officer of Stafford Capital Management, where he actively managed funds for a client base comprising high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors. Prior to his time with Stafford, he spent ten years with RCM Capital Management, a dominant West Coast institutional investment firm. In his capacity as one of RCM´s Co-Chief Investment Officers and Senior Portfolio Managers, he managed a billion dollar product for the firm and was responsible for all aspects of portfolio management, analytics, marketing, client service and management that accompanied the role. He began his investment career as a member of RCM’s fundamental research analyst group.
Brian has been active on a variety of boards throughout his career. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Children’s Health Council, where he is a member of the Investment and Finance Committees. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bay Area's American Lung Association and on the Board of Directors of a privately held mutual fund company.
Brian earned his BS and MS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin, where he was a select participant in the Applied Securities Analysis Program. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco. -
Priscilla Joyce
Manager, Marketing & Communications
As the Manager of Marketing and Communications for Sand Hill Global Advisors, Priscilla is responsible for the ensuring the consistency and quality of Sand Hill’s message and brand. Her responsibilities include oversight of all marketing communications, the Sand Hill website, event planning, and special projects related to Sand Hill’s presence in the community. Priscilla works closely with the CEO, the Executive Team, and the entire professional staff to support the strategic vision and tactical efforts of Sand Hill Global Advisors.
Before joining Sand Hill, Priscilla was the Director of Marketing for WorkForce OS, a software startup company that developed skills matching tools. Prior to WorkForce OS, she was the Technical Communications Manager with the Advanced Technology Group of Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) in McLean, Virginia.
Priscilla earned her BA in English from the University of Washington. -
Christina Ko
Client Service Associate
As a Sand Hill Client Service Associate, Christina is the first line of contact for client requests and account maintenance. She works with the firm’s custodians to process client transfers, deposits, and day-to-day transactions. Christina handles the alternative investments’ capital calls, statements, and reconciliation. She coordinates with the investment management, wealth management, and operations teams on a daily basis to meet client requests.
Before joining Sand Hill, Christina was a personal banker at Citibank where she was in an active sales role, assisting clients in their selection of accounts and financial services. Prior to Citibank she interned at Fisher Investments.
Christina earned her BA in Economics Administration from the University of California, Riverside. She holds a Series 65 License. Christina is currently a Notary Public. -
Cynde Lee
Chief Compliance Officer
Cynde is currently the Chief Compliance Officer for Sand Hill Global Advisors. In this role, she oversees the firm’s compliance with all state and federal regulations governing financial services institutions. She has served as a member of the Schwab Technology Advisory Board, and is the former Southwest and California Regional Coordinator of the Advent Users Group.
Prior to joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, she served as the Corporate Administrator at Dolan Capital Management, where she was responsible for operations, financial reporting, trading, compliance, and client service of the firm.
Cynde has a BS in Finance from California State University, Sacramento. -
Stephen Peterson, CFP®
Senior Wealth Advisor
As Senior Wealth Advisor at Sand Hill Global Advisors, Stephen brings over 20 years of investment counseling and financial planning experience to the firm. In this capacity, he actively manages client relationships and participates as a senior member of the wealth advisory team. He also serves on the firm’s investment committee.
Prior to joining Sand Hill, Stephen worked for Seton Smoke Capital Management, where he served as Portfolio Manager and worked closely with high net worth individuals and managed their related trusts and retirement plans. Prior to that, Stephen served as an Associate in Tax and Personal Financial Services for Coopers & Lybrand, LLP (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) in San Francisco. He began his career at Kidder, Peabody (now Paine Webber).
Stephen currently serves on the Board of Directors and is the Treasurer of the Menlo Circus Club, and he also serves on the Investment Committee for the Endowment of the Menlo Park Atherton Education Foundation (MPAEF).
Stephen holds BA degrees in Political Science and Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Stephen also holds the CFP® designation. -
Tyler Scott, CFA
Senior Portfolio Manager
Tyler is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager. With more than 11 years of financial services experience, Tyler is integral to the overall team that manages Sand Hill´s client relationships and portfolios. In his role as Senior Portfolio Manager, Tyler contributes to the design and implementation of Sand Hill´s asset allocation strategies through his research and management of equity and alternative investments.
Prior to Sand Hill Global Advisors, Tyler was a Portfolio Manager and analyst for Quantum Capital Management. Previously, he worked at Fisher Investments and mPower Advisors as an analyst.
Tyler’s currently serves the community as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for Gamble Garden, a Bay Area historical site and educational center.
Tyler earned his BS in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a CFA Charterholder, as well as a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco. -
Kristin Sun
Manager of Client Service
As the Manager of Client Service, Kristin oversees the daily activities of the client service team. In addition, Kristin works in partnership with the Wealth Advisory and Investment Managements teams on complex financial analysis and planning projects, including: asset allocation, cash flow analysis, risk assessment, education planning, restricted stock and options, divorce, and the execution of 10b5-1 plans.
Prior to joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Kristin was an Assistant Vice President with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. She brings over 8 years of wealth management experience working with high net worth individuals, foundations, venture capital firms and corporations.
Kristin graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies. She currently holds the Series 65 license. -
Brenda Vingiello
Portfolio Manager
In her role as Portfolio Manager for Sand Hill Global Advisors, Brenda brings over a decade of financial markets experience to the investment team. In addition to her broader portfolio responsibilities within the team, she is primarily responsible for managing investments in Sand Hill’s Core Portfolio. Her expertise in equity analysis is also brought to bear in developing liquidation strategies for corporate stock options, strategies around reducing concentrated stock in client portfolios and private company valuation.
Before joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Brenda spent five years as an Analyst at RS Investments, focused principally on growth stock investing. Prior to that time, she spent six years as an Analyst and Assistant Portfolio Manager at RCM Capital Management, working on small and midcap stocks.
Brenda earned her B.A. from University of California, Santa Cruz and is a CFA Level III Candidate. -
Jane Williams
Founder & CEO
As CEO and co-founder, Jane Williams provides overall leadership and direction to Sand Hill Global Advisors. She chairs the Executive Committee and provides guidance on policy, client service, strategic direction, and business development. Jane participates in industry panels and organizations on topics of best business practices; she is a member of the Fidelity Investment Advisors’ Council and is on the Board of Governors of the Investment Adviser Association.
With over 37 years of experience in the investment field, Jane is recognized as an expert for the work she has done with individuals – particularly women – and couples in financial transition. Serving the family court as a certified expert in several San Francisco Bay Area counties, she testifies on topics ranging from prudent investment strategies, rate of return, and related financial topics.
Jane has been active in a variety of non-profit efforts during her career. She served for seven years as a Board member of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, and its predecessor, Peninsula Community Foundation, chairing the Investment Committee for most of her tenure. She is Vice Chair of the Board for the University of California-Santa Barbara Foundation, where she chairs the Investment and Finance Committees. Jane also serves on the Advisory Board for Ravenswood Family Health Center in East Palo Alto. Jane is a frequent speaker in a variety of settings, including the Stanford Charitable Giving Conference.
In October 2010, Jane received the Charles Schwab & Co. IMPACT® 2010 Leadership Award. In addition, Jane has been listed as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Business in the San Francisco Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal. She was named to the Top 50 Women in Wealth by Wealth Manager Magazine in May 2010. In 2009, Jane was named one of the Barron’s Top 100 Independent Advisors in the nation.
Jane holds a BS in Economics from Boston University where she was a member of the Economics Honor Society. -
Kimberleigh Williams, CFP®
Senior Wealth Advisor
As a Senior Wealth Advisor, Kimberleigh actively manages client relationships and provides financial planning and customized portfolio management. She advises her clients on risk management, retirement and education planning and charitable giving. Additionally, Kimberleigh works closely with clients and their attorneys and CPAs on divorce related issues including division of assets and cash flow analysis.
Prior to joining the Wealth Advisory team, Kimberleigh managed Sand Hill’s Client Service team where she was responsible for overseeing the establishment of client accounts, transfer of assets, gifting, restricted stock and option sales, tracking limited partnership and other private company investments.
Kimberleigh played a key role in the formation of Sand Hill’s Women´s Wealth Network, and continues to pursue her interest in helping women succeed financially. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Palo Alto University Rotary Club.
Kimberleigh has a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and an MBA from Santa Clara University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
